Good morning to all of our Wingman family
Obviously, a significant weather system has been experienced which has caused major damage and disruption over the greater Auckland region. In the interest of ensuring the best festival experience possible (just like our inaugural year), and of course, protecting guest safety, in consultation with regulatory agencies and essential travel operators, we are deeply sorry to announce that The Wingman Festival is to be postponed.
We are so disappointed, as like you we were very excited to welcome you all again to our festival this year.
We started this festival with a vision to connect with our community, support our community schools, and share our beautiful island and its amazing community, who have been working hard to produce an amazing event on our beautiful island.
In the coming weeks, we will be in contact with all ticket-holders affected via the email address used to register and purchase your ticket with a range of options, ideally in the spirit of community and the fundraising support for our schools to transfer your ticket to a rescheduled date, or where requested for refunds.
We ask for your patience as we work through this communication process, as this postponement impacts not just you, but the hard-working community organisers, the artists and their teams, our suppliers and local businesses as well as the schools who benefit from the event's success. As you would understand right now we are busy sorting out the logistics of the postponement with everyone involved, but rest assured, we will continue working hard to make sure that we are back with a rescheduled date, hopefully with all of our great supporters retaining tickets, or happy with the refund arrangements.
THE WINGMAN FESTIVAL
The Wingman Festival is a day/night Music Festival on Aotea, Great Barrier Island. Fully off-grid and set in jaw-dropping, world-class scenery, we may be the world’s most remote and most beautiful island music festival.
