The Wingman Festival is a day/night Music Festival on Aotea, Great Barrier Island. Fully off-grid and set in a jaw-dropping, world-class scenery, we may be the world’s most remote and most beautiful island music festival.

The Wingman Festival takes place on Saturday the 30th of January 2021. Gates open at 11am and the festival finishes at 1am on Sunday 31st of January. The Festival is being held at the Claris Sports Club, 19 Whangaparapara Road, Great Barrier Island / Aotea 0991.
There will be limited access to EFTPOS machines at the festival, so we strongly suggest bringing cash. Please also note that there is no bank or ATM’s on the Island, so bringing cash from town is strongly advised. You can get cash from local stores, but only if it’s available.
You can leave at any time and you can return to the festival as long as you are still wearing your wristband.
The smuggling and consumption of BYO alcohol contravenes our liquor licensing agreement. Please do not BYO Booze.
So we can all continue to frolic about in bare feet, please don’t bring any glass containers.
Please leave your pets at home (not locked in a hot car!) The venue has a strict no pets policy.
Our security teams will check bags upon entry and at certain access points during the festival. This is to prevent any banned items like BYO booze, glass, fireworks and weapons. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in this.
Yes. We recommend bringing a single-pocket bum bag to hold essential items only. We recommend bringing transparent bags if possible, to speed up your bag check process.
You may bring one empty water bottle either plastic or stainless steel. There are water stations inside the venue to fill these. Glass bottles will not be permitted.
There is no coat or bag check facilities.
If you are planning to drive, please note that the roads on Great Barrier Island are shared with bikes and pedestrians – all our roads are single lane and we expect increased traffic due to the event. Please drive carefully.
There will be no parking on site or within close proximity of the event entrance. Please either park at the Golf Club (further along Whangaparapara Road) or find roadside parking elsewhere. Due to limited parking close to the venue we strongly encourage carpooling or using the shuttle bus service.
There will be a festival shuttle bus running from Tryphena Hall to Medlands Campground to the venue and then on to Awana campground. This will run in a continual loop from 1030am until the end of the Festival. The suttle service will cost $10 per trip, please have cash available.

Physical tickets are much faster – we recommend you print them for ease of access.
Gate Sales will only be available if the event does not sell out.
Please contact the ticketing agent directly by emailing via their website.
Tickets should be sent immediately on the successful receipt of payment. For instalment payments, that won’t happen until funds have cleared from your final instalment. If your payment was successfully completed and tickets still haven’t appeared in your Inbox, Junk or Spam folders.
